The BIG 5!

The day finally came and we have a 5 year old! It was a busy day since his friend Sophia had her bday party that same day too. Her party was earlier in the day and then a few hours later it was his. I felt like I should have done so much more but I came down with the flu on Thanksgiving and that pretty much wiped me out. Good thing we had already planned his party at Nickel City. That way I didn't have to worry about disinfecting the house.

He has such a good and fun group of friends! I love watching them interact so animated and expressive. Thank you for all those who came and celebrated his birthday!

A few things about Sesi:

Loves school! He looks forward to it and asks everyday if he has school (hope this lasts a long time)!
He is still a social butterfly. No kidding he can make a friend anywhere we go.
Favorite color is Green or Red (depending on the day).
He has a big personality! No filter either....but that's him and I love him for that.
He likes Transformers, any Super Hero, and WWE wrestling.
Funniest thing he said to me lately was....
ME: Wow you are 5 now.
SESI: Yeah mom I know...I'm almost a teenager...

Birthday Week!

I cannot believe that this Lil guy is turning 5!

Today marks the beginning of his birthday week and he has big plans...well, at least in his mind. He is having a party with friends on Saturday but I am sure that this week will be filled with lots of FUN! He is so much fun and Matt and I could never imagined that Sesi would make us so happy. We love you so much and and hope you have a GREAT birthday week.

This is Halloween....

What can I say we love Halloween. The costumes, the activities, the candy, the whole shebang! I mean seriously how can you not love Halloween when you have the best Thor?!

I know I am his mom and I am completely bias but come on admit it...He is CUTE (and yes that is a mermaid behind him)!

Every Halloween I have this problem...I think we can go to every Halloween event possible. Ask Matt he will tell you it's getting pretty crazy but we plug along and in the end its worth it. The kids have fun, smile, laugh, and most important make great memories. This Halloween we we did hayrides, haunted hayrides, played at Hee Haws, 2 magic shows, reptile shows, Trick or Treated til Sesi couldn't carry his bucket anymore, went to the Evermore Pumpkin Fest, a haunted house, and a Halloween party @ the Provo Rec. Oh we also did a few other things but you get the point.

Matt was brave and held a scorpion...I love the face Sesi is pulling...me well it's a miracle that I was that close to take the pic...

We even found the Headless Horseman!

To top it all off it was a great Halloween. I am not allowed to start to thinking about next Halloween until Christmas is over. Each Halloween when we get done with all the festivities I start to say "What should we...." and Matt will say before I get the sentence out lets get through Christmas...and you know what he is right bc this is how I feel today...

Pre-School

Well, I knew this day would eventually come...my little guy is starting pre-school. I am torn. He is excited and is quite the social butterfly but I am a mama bear and am self-fish. I know I am whinning but seriously how did he get to be this old? It is pretty sad when he tells me to be a big girl and mom be brave...I am taking his advice and trying my hardest.

So, instead of having a pitty party here is why I love this lil guy so much!
Right now he loves wrestling. What little boy doesn't? Funny fact about him is that he calls WWE "WR" we are not sure why but we just go with it.
He is a good eater he loves meat and rice. He isn't really picky but when he is hungry he is hungry. Not to mention he is a big eater. Sometimes I tease because I know there are days where he consumes more calories then me or Matt.
This past Summer he played T-Ball. Matt coached and both did a great job! We had a great team and made some fun friendships. I am not going to lie though some of the games were very hot. We spent quite a bit of time at the Owlz games. Now that the boys are getting older they are liking sports more and more (which we love too!).
No matter how old he gets he will always be our baby!

Been A While....

Yeah I know it has been a while. I don't think anyone reads this but I do go back periodically and read. I need to do better since this is pretty much the only documenting of our life I do and since my brain magically turns to mush from time to time (more often than I would like to admit) here goes another attempt.....

Here is an update on Sesi.....
Age: 4

Favorite Food: Orange Chicken

Favorite Character: HULK...In fact if you ask him his full name he will tell you "Sesi, Hulk, Bruce Banner..." followed by his real middle and last name.

Favorite Show: Lab Rats and Wipeout (unfortunately with wipeout he mimics the wipeouts ending up with marks on his face...his latest a couch burn on his chin....yeah he face planted on the couch and he got a couch burn in the pattern of the couch. Is it rude that I laughed a little at the mark left behind...yeah bad mom).

Favorite Color: Green

Favorite Game: SkyLanders

He is full of energy and I have to remind him to slow down so we don't end up at the doctors office. That usually works since he had a bad experience with the doctor getting stitches. He is also stubborn (not sure where that came from). Once he gets something in his head he doesn't let it go until he gets it. This is a blessing and a curse. Mostly curse if you are mom and dad. Blessing bc we know he can stand up for himself and he isn't afraid to let you now what he wants or what he is thinking. On the other side he is really affectionate. Randomly through out the day he will say "mom I hug you", "mom I kiss you", "mom I love you"....which makes up for the "mom please stop talking" he usually pulls that one out when I am trying to get him to turn off a game, a show, or get him ready in the morning. At least he says please right?

Sesi will be playing T-Ball this Summer which we are not sure if it will be a success or fail. We know for sure though it will produce some fun memories. We are just hoping he doesn't say something that will be too embarrassing....he has no filter on his mouth, comes up with things only adults should say, and well to be honest can get pretty dramatic.

Don't let this pic fool you because in less than 2 seconds he usually ends up like this....

We sure do love this lil guy crazy times and all. Don't know what we would do without him (oh wait I am pretty sure I wouldn't have nearly the wrinkles and stretch marks...but they are worth it! I wouldn't trade him for anything). We love you Sesi!

And yes I know I need a blog makeover/update but when your 4 yr old is more tech savvy than you are some things just get put on the bottom of the list....
