Speechless...

This morning as I sit here and reflect on my life I sit here and think how I get caught up and stressed about the little things that don't even matter. The things that really matter are our family and loved ones. We received terrible, heart breaking news this week. Our hearts are heavy as the Hansen family is in our every thought and prayer. Matt has been friends with Kurt since kindergarten and this just breaks our hearts. There are no words right now just emotions....

 Alice Frances Demske Hansen

 1978 ~ 2012

Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend Alice Frances Demske Hansen, 33, died Wednesday, May 9 in Orem of a severe infection after giving birth.

Alice was born August 22, 1978 in Winter Park, Florida, the eldest child of Gary and Davideen Demske. She grew up in Coppell, Texas and studied piano performance in London, UK at the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music where she received a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and Graduate Performance degree, respectively. She married her sweetheart Kurt Charles Hansen in the Mount Timpanogos LDS temple on January 2, 2007. She finished her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2008 while pregnant with their first child.
She is survived by her husband Kurt, and three beautiful children: Kurt Charles Hansen Jr. ("Charlie"), 3; Edward Gary Hansen, 1; and Frances Pauline Hansen, 1 week. She is also survived by her parents, a sister Hilary, a brother Arthur, and many relatives and friends, all of whom loved and admired her very much.

Although Alice had many extraordinary musical accomplishments, she was first and foremost a devoted wife and full-time mother. She loved families and sang the hymn "Families Can Be Together Forever" every night to her little boys. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, always serving devotedly in her callings. She was filled with pure love for everyone she knew, and was passionate about their joy and success more than her own. She always wanted to do the right thing in whatever she did. She loved to read, be with her family, and to spend time and go on walks with her husband.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 14 at the LDS chapel at 1600 N 900 E in Provo, UT 84604. A visitation with the family will be held there that morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Her interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.

 

May Already...?

I cannot believe it is already May! No complaints here though. I look forward to the warm weather and the summer time! Plus living in Utah you never know when mother nature is going to give you rain or snow...she usually likes a little snow in June for some reason. So here is what has been going on lately... The business has been going well and we have seen a double in growth this last month! Exciting but as you know along with growth comes growing pains but we have done well and made the necessary adjustments. Thank you Matt for all you do!!!! XOXO Sesi is CRAZY! I know he is 3 and that is expected at times but he goes non-stop all day every day! He always knows how to make me laugh and keep me on my toes. For example yesterday we were at the lab working and there is a playroom that Sesi goes to. It is right across from the front office so I can peer in on him every so often. He is usually watching Nick Jr. (if you have kids you what shows I am talking about...). Well, I look in and he has completely covered Joker with blankets and pillows...all I can see is Joker's nose poking out of a hole. Then I look in again and Sesi is standing on Joker's head...good thing Joker is a good dog and goes along with it. Love that little guy. Oh and look who got a hair cut!

His hair is still long we opted out of the missionary style cut...he just wouldn't be the same without his blonde locks. One guy at the ball park calls him the "Blonde Bombshell". Crazy I never thought I would have a child with blonde hair!
